Controversial Marriage Case in Muzaffarnagar Raises Eyebrows

In Muzaffarnagar, Anukool Kuchhal, who operates the Tarang Music Center, expressed his concerns after his wife refused to visit a doctor, leading him to suspect foul play. Meanwhile, the opposing party has dismissed these allegations as false. The police are currently investigating the matter.

Kuchhal has filed a complaint against nine individuals, including Sanjay Mittal, the provincial president of the All India Industry Trade Association, accusing them of orchestrating a fraudulent marriage. Following a court order, a case has been registered at the New Mandi police station.

Kuchhal claims that Mittal conspired to marry him off without any dowry to his driver’s daughter, pressuring him into a court marriage followed by a social ceremony.

After the wedding, the bride reportedly refused to engage in physical relations and declined to see a doctor despite repeated requests. When taken to a medical facility, she also refused to undergo any examinations, claiming she was incomplete.

Later, at the urging of her family, the bride returned to her home. She allegedly came back one day with her younger sister and took away valuables worth lakhs, also verbally abusing the family. Following these events, Kuchhal petitioned the court to annul the marriage registration.

The bride has since filed a case against her in-laws in family court, while Kuchhal has accused Mittal and others of threatening him and holding him captive.

The New Mandi police have initiated an investigation based on the court's directive, registering a case against Mittal, Hari Shankar Sharma, Ganesh, Omkar Kashyap, and five others. The victim had previously submitted complaints to officials, and after no action was taken, he sought the court's intervention. CO Mandi Rupali Roy confirmed that the investigation is underway as per the court's orders. Mittal, on his part, has refuted the allegations and stated he will present his defense in court.
