Controversial Marriage Case in Kanpur: Allegations of Abuse and Impotence
Marriage Disputes Emerge in Kanpur
In Kalyanpur, the sanctity of the marital bond is being questioned as disputes arise over trivial matters. Recently, a case from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has highlighted the fragility of such relationships. A woman has filed a complaint against her husband and in-laws, alleging serious misconduct.
The woman claims that her mood was ruined on her wedding night due to her husband's actions, which led her to discover that he was impotent. The following day, when she informed her brother-in-law and sister-in-law about this revelation, they allegedly advised her to remain silent. This situation persisted until her brother-in-law reportedly assaulted her.
Married in March of the previous year to a man from Unnao, the woman was shocked to learn of her husband's impotence on their wedding night. After confiding in her sister-in-law, she was told to keep quiet. When she suggested seeking medical help for her husband, she faced verbal abuse and threats from her husband and in-laws.
On one occasion, her brother-in-law allegedly attempted to molest her. When she resisted, her in-laws reportedly confiscated her jewelry. The woman claims that on March 9, her in-laws forcibly expelled her from their home. On June 30, she received news about her husband's illness and went to visit him with her family, only to be attacked by her husband and brother-in-law, who allegedly tried to suffocate her. The local police have confirmed that a report has been filed and an investigation is underway.
