Rahul Gandhi Launches Manifesto

On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Congress party, introduced the party's manifesto for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, emphasizing 11 key areas including governance and healthcare. The manifesto was unveiled during an election rally attended by Gandhi, Gaurav Gogoi, the president of Congress's Assam unit, along with other senior party officials.


The manifesto outlines commitments in various sectors such as governance, identity, healthcare, infrastructure development, industrialization, agriculture, rural and urban development, climate change, and ensuring a secure Assam. Previously, on March 29, during a visit by party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress had announced 'five guarantees' for the state. Voting for the 126 seats in the Assam Assembly is scheduled for April 9, with the counting of votes set for May 4.
