Strong Condemnation of Police Actions

Dharamshala - A spokesperson for the Himachal Pradesh Congress, Puneet Malli, has expressed strong disapproval of the police's response during a recent Congress protest in New Delhi, labeling it an effort to stifle democratic expression. He has called for the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing a need for accountability.

Malli emphasized that the youth of India are voicing their concerns regarding their future, job opportunities, and the education system. Instead of engaging in constructive dialogue, he accused the central government of resorting to oppressive measures. He noted that Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, participated in the protest to support the students, yet peaceful demonstrators faced police brutality, which he termed as 'unfortunate and shameful.'

He asserted that the right to protest is enshrined in the constitution and should not be suppressed through force. Malli pointed to the growing dissatisfaction with the NEET examination system, accusing the government of dodging responsibility while students feel let down.

According to him, the movement is gaining traction in various villages and towns, with young people stepping up to assert their rights. He claimed that the BJP's policies have diminished public trust, leading citizens to see the party's 'true nature.'

Malli reiterated that in light of the serious questions surrounding the education system, the Union Education Minister lacks the moral authority to remain in his position. He affirmed that the Congress Party will continue to support students and youth, vowing to oppose any efforts to silence their voices through democratic and constitutional means.
