Congress President Criticizes Modi Government's Economic Management
Congress Leader's Strong Allegations Against the Government
On Saturday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge leveled serious accusations against the Narendra Modi-led central government regarding the mismanagement of the country's economy. He sharply criticized the ruling party, stating that while the common people struggle to afford their basic daily needs, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preoccupied with horse-trading among leaders of other parties. Kharge's remarks come in the context of recent political upheaval within the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Shiv Sena (UBT).
Rising Inflation and Economic Concerns
Kharge took to social media to express his concerns, highlighting that rampant inflation is rapidly depleting people's savings. He attributed the rising prices of essential goods, growing inequality, and increasing discontent among youth to the economic mismanagement by the Modi administration. He pointed out that retail inflation has reached a 16-month high, with food inflation at 4.78% and medical inflation exceeding 15%.
Furthermore, he noted the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, the withdrawal of foreign investors from India, and the lack of job opportunities for the youth, which has led to rising unemployment. Kharge emphasized that while the common man struggles with basic expenses, the BJP is engaged in political maneuvering to attract leaders from opposition parties.
Allegations of Political Manipulation
In conclusion, Kharge criticized the BJP's political tactics, asserting that while ordinary citizens are battling to meet their basic needs, the ruling party is exerting all its efforts to weaken opposition parties and lure their leaders through political manipulation and horse-trading.
