Congress Leader's Strong Accusations Against BJP

On Saturday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a fierce critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi. He accused the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh of becoming synonymous with corruption.

In a post on the social media platform X, Kharge claimed that a massive rice scam worth ₹1,200 crores has emerged under the guise of ethanol production in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted that the rice intended for the nutrition of malnourished children, pregnant women, and adolescents has been diverted for profit-making schemes.

Kharge raised concerns about the collusion between government officials and rice millers, stating that approximately five lakh metric tons of rice have fallen victim to this significant corruption, protected by the ethanol mafia and the BJP government. He alleged that this collusion directly results in the theft of food grains meant for the public.

Additionally, Kharge referenced a purported land scam in Ujjain, noting that land expansions occurred in areas where government infrastructure projects and highways were proposed. This situation has raised direct questions about Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's involvement.

Kharge remarked that the cycle of looting that began with Vyapam and numerous paper leaks has not ceased, despite various corruption cases surfacing. He expressed sorrow over the fact that the BJP has turned Madhya Pradesh into a model of corruption, while Prime Minister Modi remains silent as usual. As of now, there has been no official response from the Madhya Pradesh government or the BJP regarding these allegations.
