Pawan Khera's Strong Criticism of Foreign Policy
Congress leader Pawan Khera has launched a sharp critique against the NDA government, led by the BJP, regarding its foreign policy and diplomatic strategies. He asserted that the government's so-called "powerful foreign policy" has crumbled due to its own public relations failures. Khera remarked, "While India makes noise at home, it stands isolated abroad." In a post on social media platform X, he highlighted several incidents that he believes have contributed to the decline of India's foreign policy, including financial support to Pakistan from various global platforms and organizations, Pakistan's backing from China, Nepal's claims over Kalapani, and the OIC's stance on Jammu and Kashmir, among others.
Recent Developments in Foreign Relations
In his post, Khera pointed out, "The recent suspension of visas for India and 13 other countries by Saudi Arabia marks the latest blow to India's foreign policy under Modi's leadership. China has refused to name the attackers at the United Nations. Pakistan has garnered support from China, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and Malaysia, all demanding a fair investigation. He elaborated, "India's global standing is deteriorating: 1. The G7 excluded India due to the Canada-Khalistan dispute. There was no success at the G20. 2. The Maldives has turned hostile with a 'India Out' and China-friendly stance. 3. Sri Lanka and the Maldives have leased strategic assets to Beijing. 4. Nepal has revised its map to claim Indian territory. 5. The OIC and West Asia continue to attack India over Kashmir and Muslim rights. 6. The SCO and BRICS have become mouthpieces for China. 7. Russia has entered into military and energy agreements with Pakistan.
Economic Challenges and International Support for Pakistan
Khera's social media post continued, "Despite its economic decline, Pakistan has secured $20 billion from the World Bank, $1 billion from the IMF, and $800 million from the ADB, strengthened ties with Russia, and raised the Kashmir issue. Turkey has even sent a warship in support. Iran has offered to mediate. Qatar, Kuwait, and Malaysia have echoed Islamabad's concerns." He concluded by accusing the government, stating, "This administration's so-called powerful foreign policy has collapsed under its own PR. India may make noise at home, but it stands alone abroad."
