Pawan Khera's Critique of Rajnath Singh

On Saturday, Congress leader Pawan Khera expressed his disapproval of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This criticism followed the engraving of the names of six security personnel who lost their lives during 'Operation Sindoor' at the National War Memorial. Khera shared a clip of Singh's parliamentary speech regarding 'Operation Sindoor' on social media, emphasizing that there are only two possible scenarios concerning India's response to Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack.

Serious Questions Raised

Khera pointed out that either Rajnath Singh was unaware that six soldiers had already been martyred while speaking in Parliament, which raises serious questions about his knowledge of the ministry he leads, or he was aware of the truth but misled Parliament. This situation is particularly alarming as it suggests that the government is willing to deceive the nation within the temple of democracy, disregarding their oaths.

Regardless of which scenario is true, certain facts remain unchanged.

Call for Recognition and Transparency

He further stated that the six soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the operation did not receive the honor and recognition they deserved, accusing the government of depriving their families of their rightful entitlements. Khera asserted that these families were denied the transparency they had every right to expect, which he deemed an insult to the soldiers. He emphasized that no true patriot could remain silent or indifferent on this matter.

Memorial Honoring Fallen Soldiers

The names of the six Indian security personnel who lost their lives during a four-day military operation against Pakistan in May 2025 have been inscribed at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
