The Indian National Congress has issued a show-cause notice to senior leader Laxman Singh for making public statements that have severely harmed the party's image and integrity. The notice highlights that Singh's remarks have crossed all acceptable boundaries, particularly with disrespectful comments directed at senior party leadership, including Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. The former MLA and brother of Digvijay Singh alleged that Omar Abdullah is associated with terrorists and suggested that Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra should be cautious with their words before making public statements about Pahalgam.

The notice was issued following complaints received from MPC President Jitu Patwari and MPC MLA and in-charge Harish Chaudhary regarding Singh's repeated public statements.
