Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), August 7 - In a recent development, the Allahabad High Court has granted conditional parole to Ali Ahmed and Mohammad Umar, the imprisoned brothers of Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of deceased mafia figure and former MP Atique Ahmed. They are expected to attend Aban's funeral, which will take place on Saturday morning at the Kasari Masari cemetery after their arrival in Prayagraj.

The court, presided over by Justices Ajay Bhanot and Divesh Chandra Sharma, made this decision following a petition filed by Atique Ahmed's sister, Parveen Qureshi. The court stipulated that after the funeral and a family reunion, both Umar and Ahmed must return to their respective jails under police custody.

The court emphasized that they are prohibited from addressing any public gatherings or interacting with the media, including social media platforms. Furthermore, they are only allowed to converse with the officiating religious figure at the funeral, their aunt Parveen Qureshi, and their brother Ahzam Ahmed, while strictly adhering to police directives.

Tragic Accident Claims Lives

Aban Ahmed and his friend Sonu tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Jhansi on Thursday, while three other passengers in their vehicle sustained injuries and were later admitted to a hospital in Prayagraj.

According to police reports, Aban's body was transported to his aunt Parveen Qureshi's residence in Hattwa village on Friday morning. His grave has been prepared next to that of Atique Ahmed, which is located in the same cemetery where the graves of Atique's brother Ashraf and son Asad are situated.

The family of Aban Ahmed departed late at night with the bodies of Aban and his companion for Prayagraj, arriving on Friday morning. Following the news of the accident, Atique's son Ahzam and the relatives of the injured rushed to Jhansi in the evening, after which an autopsy was conducted.

Details of the Fatal Incident

Aban Ahmed was en route to visit his brother, who is incarcerated in Jhansi Jail, when his speeding SUV lost control and collided with a divider on the Jhansi-Kanpur National Highway in the Poonch police jurisdiction. The accident resulted in the deaths of 21-year-old Aban Ahmed and 25-year-old Sonu, while Azam, Mohammad Javed, and Umar were injured.

It is noteworthy that Atique Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were murdered on April 15, 2023, by three individuals posing as journalists outside a hospital in Prayagraj while police were escorting them for a medical examination.
