On the fourth day, he was seen with heavy bandages on his fourth and fifth fingers during practice, leaving uncertainty about his ability to bat.

In a statement released by England on the morning of the fourth day, it was mentioned that Bashir is being monitored following his left finger injury, and there are hopes he will bowl in the fourth innings of the Test.
