Concerns Raised Over Financial Mismanagement in Ayodhya Ram Temple Donations
Financial Concerns Surrounding Ram Temple Donations
Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, expressed profound sadness on Saturday regarding the financial irregularities associated with donations for the Ram Temple. He described this incident as a stain on the temple, stating that it has left many feeling deeply humiliated. Nevertheless, he remains hopeful that improvements will be made soon to prevent such occurrences in the future.
During a conversation with reporters, Mishra made it clear that he not only feels apologetic about the situation but is also extremely embarrassed and disappointed. He emphasized that this issue is entirely related to the temple's management. He assured that anyone found guilty in the investigation will face severe penalties under the law.
Regarding the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Mishra revealed that a three-member committee has been formed for this purpose. This committee will make the final decision on the new CEO's appointment. It is noteworthy that Mishra has been at the forefront of advocating for the CEO's appointment for the temple.
Upon arriving in Ayodhya on Friday, Mishra first visited the renowned Hanumangarhi Temple to offer his prayers. Following that, he closely inspected the ongoing construction activities. He mentioned that the work on the old temple, which is being developed as a monument, is nearly complete, with only the arrangement for a continuous flame to be lit there remaining.
Mishra provided an update on the timeline for the temple's construction, stating that the final phase is expected to be completed by July 30. Additionally, other projects, such as the construction of a four-kilometer-long boundary wall and an auditorium outside the temple complex, are anticipated to be finished by November or December. Meanwhile, the storyline for the 20 galleries of the Ram Katha Museum has been prepared, and efforts are underway to enhance it with modern and engaging digital installations and video content.
