In light of potential threats to Haripur College's operations, local trade association members and the struggle committee convened with MLA Dehra Kamlesh Thakur at the Haripur Rest House to voice their concerns.
Atul Mahajan, the President of the Trade Association, voiced significant worries regarding the future of the college's students, many of whom hail from modest backgrounds. He highlighted that the local intellectual community and the trade association had thoroughly discussed the situation prior to reaching out to the MLA, urging for a swift resolution.
MLA Kamlesh Thakur reassured attendees that degree programs at Haripur College would proceed without disruption and that the education of students would remain safeguarded. She also committed to tackling the pressing issue of staff shortages at the college.
Additionally, the trade association and local residents expressed their appreciation to the MLA for the recent CBSE accreditation granted to the Government Senior Secondary School in Haripur.
The meeting saw participation from the trade association president, committee members, and representatives from the struggle committee.
