In an effort to combat drug abuse, the “Chitta Mukt Nurpur, Nasha Mukt Nurpur” initiative, organized by the Idea of Bharat Foundation (IBF), has reached its 22nd panchayat with an anti-drug awareness program in Ladori Panchayat.
Volunteers and local leaders engaged in door-to-door campaigns, informing residents about the dangers of drug use and fostering a community commitment to creating a drug-free environment.
Key figures such as Gram Panchayat Pradhan Sanju Kumar and Akash Sharma participated actively, encouraging locals to avoid substance abuse and inspiring youth to pursue constructive activities.
A dedicated awareness session took place at Government Senior Secondary School, Ladori, where students learned about the risks associated with chitta and other narcotics. Presenters discussed the detrimental effects of addiction on health, education, and overall well-being, urging students to engage in sports, academics, and creative endeavors as healthier alternatives.
During the event, IBF President Rahul Sharma emphasized the vital role of families, panchayats, and educational institutions in combating drug abuse. He asserted that raising awareness within homes and schools is essential for fostering meaningful societal change.
Sharma also expressed the Foundation's commitment to spreading the message of de-addiction throughout every panchayat in the Nurpur area, highlighting the importance of community support for the campaign's success.
