Promoting Health Awareness in Pratap Nagar

Pratap Nagar, May 23, 2025 — A community awareness meeting was organized today at the Nagaria Anganwadi Center in Pratap Nagar to promote health awareness. The event featured the district lead from Piramal Health, Bhupendra Singh, and TB champion Hemraj as special guests.

The primary goal of the meeting was to educate the community about tuberculosis (TB), a contagious disease, and to raise awareness regarding it. Participants received detailed information about TB symptoms, transmission, treatment processes, and the benefits available under government schemes.

Bhupendra Singh, the district lead, emphasized that TB is a completely curable disease if diagnosed and treated promptly. He also informed attendees that the government provides free medication, nutritional support, and financial assistance to TB patients.

TB champion Hemraj shared his personal journey of battling TB and how he is now working to raise awareness among other patients. His inspiring story motivated attendees and helped foster a positive outlook towards TB.
