In various panchayats such as Ichhi, Nadehar, Abdulapur, Sahoda, and Baidi, Gram Sabhas were convened, featuring active participation from Chaudhary Narendra Nishu Mongra, who holds multiple leadership roles including APMC District President and State Congress OBC Department leader.
During these gatherings, Mongra urged departmental officials to ensure that reports are submitted promptly and emphasized the importance of officers attending each Gram Sabha. He highlighted that these meetings, occurring quarterly, serve as vital forums for villagers to propose initiatives that drive development.
Mongra also discussed government programs, specifically mentioning the Mera Parivar Sukhi Parivar Yojana, which offers financial assistance and insurance coverage of ₹10 lakh to eligible women. He expressed his intention to approach the Chief Minister to advocate for an extension of the scheme's deadline, aiming to benefit more women.
Additionally, he pointed out that the Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has amended the requirement for women under MGNREGA to work three compulsory days, thereby enhancing the scheme's flexibility.
Mongra encouraged community members to engage actively in Gram Sabhas, stressing the importance of their participation in amplifying their voices and propelling local development initiatives.
