Community Comes Together to Provide Refreshing Relief During Summer Heat

Amid the sweltering summer temperatures, a delightful sweet water stall, known as Chhabil, was set up today on Jamanabad Road, Ichhi (Gaggal, Kangra), aimed at providing relief to those passing by.
This initiative witnessed enthusiastic involvement from the youth, women, and children of Ichhi village, who all contributed significantly to ensure the success of this service. Travelers, drivers, and laborers, who were suffering from the heat, were offered chilled sweet water, providing them with much-needed comfort.
Women played a pivotal role in organizing and distributing the water, ensuring that the service ran smoothly throughout the day. Among the dedicated volunteers were Abhishek, Vishal Chaudhary, Mittu, Sagun Kumar, Rita Devi, Sumna Devi, Samasya Devi, Sakshi, Komal, Anil Lukku, Renu Devi, Sushma, Sangeeta, Kamla, Jyoti Devi, Bandana, Anita Devi, Suraj, Priya, Isha, Ranjoo, Sanju, Sandeep, Amandeep, Kartik, Takshu, Varinder, Vishal (Sanju), and many others.
The volunteers expressed their commitment by stating:
“Providing water to those in need during the summer is the highest form of service. We plan to continue organizing such Chhabeels regularly.”
Grateful passersby conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to all the volunteers for their altruistic efforts.
