New Delhi, Nov 1: The cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 10, bringing the new price to Rs 2,820 effective from Sunday. Additionally, the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has increased by Rs 1.37 per litre.

This marks the second consecutive monthly increase, following a rise of Rs 62.50 per cylinder on October 1. Earlier, there was also a hike of Rs 9.50 on September 1.

These recent price adjustments come after two months of reductions, where the prices dropped by Rs 183.50 in July and Rs 192 in August.

From February to June, commercial LPG prices surged by Rs 1,373 per cylinder, escalating from Rs 1,740.50 to an all-time high of Rs 3,113.50, before experiencing a decline in the subsequent months.

As per the updated pricing list, a 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder for new connections is now priced at Rs 1,903, while the refill cost is Rs 782.

In contrast, the price of domestic LPG remains stable at Rs 942 for a 14.2-kg cylinder.

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices, which saw an increase of approximately Rs 7.50 per litre in May, have not changed.

Furthermore, ATF prices have risen to Rs 138.50 per litre from Rs 137.12, marking the fourth consecutive monthly increase in jet fuel prices, influenced by rising international benchmarks. Jet fuel constitutes up to 40% of airlines' operational expenses.

The recent adjustments are determined by fluctuations in international benchmark prices and the exchange rate between the rupee and the dollar.

Both ATF and LPG prices are reviewed on the first day of each month and may differ across states due to local taxes like VAT.
