Other ministers, including Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, and Jal Shakti Minister C R Paatil, also updated their profile pictures.

In his anniversary message, Modi stated, "A year ago, during #OperationSindoor, our armed forces displayed remarkable courage and responded decisively to those who attacked our citizens. Every Indian takes pride in our armed forces."

He further encouraged everyone to change their social media display pictures to the image shared by him as a tribute to the forces and their achievements during #OperationSindoor.

On the anniversary of the Pahalgam attack, the Army emphasized in a social media post that for any acts against India, "the response is assured," featuring a digital poster with three armed soldiers against a backdrop of a large red circle, captioned "OPERATION SINDOOR CONTINUES...".

One of the 'Os' in 'SINDOOR' was represented by a bowl containing a dash of 'sindoor' (vermilion).

Defence Minister Singh remarked that Operation Sindoor symbolizes national determination and readiness, showcasing unmatched precision and setting a "benchmark" for contemporary military operations.

Jaishankar also updated his profile picture with the Operation Sindoor logo on his timeline.

Home Minister Shah described Operation Sindoor as a historic mission that serves as a reminder to adversaries of the formidable striking power of the Indian armed forces.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma followed suit by changing his display picture on social media in response to Modi’s appeal to commemorate the anniversary of Operation Sindoor.

In a video shared on social media, Sarma stated that Operation Sindoor conveyed a strong message to anti-India elements against targeting the nation.

“India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers,” the chief minister asserted. He emphasized that the operation highlighted the precision and strength of the Indian armed forces, showcasing the nation’s strike and defense capabilities to the world.

“Operation Sindoor was a clear message to anti-India elements — do not dare to act against India,” Sarma stated.

Initiated in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor involved Indian forces executing precision strikes on various terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK).

Following the commencement of the operation in the early hours of May 7, Pakistan also launched offensives against India, with all subsequent counter-offensives by India being conducted under Operation Sindoor.

The military conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations lasted nearly 88 hours and concluded after they reached an understanding on the evening of May 10.
