CJP Leaders Set to Meet Central Minister

On Monday, leaders from the Cockroach People's Party (CJP) announced their intention to meet with Central Minister JP Nadda. This engagement comes after the central government reached out to the party ahead of a proposed march to Parliament. CJP spokesperson Saurabh Das shared on social media that following the government's contact earlier in the day, he and fellow spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka are heading to meet Nadda. Das noted the time as 11:52 AM, stating, 'Ashutosh Ranka and I are going to meet JP Nadda on behalf of the Cockroach People's Party. The government reached out for discussions this morning. Our demands are clear. A large number of youth have gathered. We will win!'

Increased Security Measures in Delhi

In anticipation of the CJP's protest march to Parliament, police have heightened security in the outer and border areas of Delhi. They are conducting thorough checks on vehicles at key entry points. Law enforcement has been deployed at major border crossings connecting the national capital with neighboring states, and barricades have been set up to inspect vehicles entering Delhi.

According to police, the increase in security is aimed at maintaining law and order and preventing any untoward incidents during the planned protest. The ongoing demonstration by the CJP at Jantar Mantar has become a hot topic on social media, with several videos of the protest going viral. One such video features a passenger from an Indigo flight encouraging fellow travelers to support the peaceful protest.

Thousands Gather Despite Adverse Weather

Despite heavy rain and stringent security measures in central Delhi on Monday morning, thousands of protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar. The CJP organized the 'March to Parliament' to demand accountability regarding alleged irregularities in examinations. The Delhi police sealed several roads leading to Parliament, surrounded the protest area at Jantar Mantar with barricades, and enforced a prohibition order under Section 163 of the Indian Citizen Security Code. Additionally, as part of the security measures, Janpath, Patel Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Seva Tirth Metro stations were closed.
