Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jun 7: Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has declared that their protests regarding alleged discrepancies in exams and recruitment processes will persist until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan steps down.

Dipke reported that the demonstration held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday was a significant success, attracting approximately 7,000 participants, and announced plans to broaden the movement across the country.

Upon returning to his home in the MIDC Waluj area of Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district on Sunday morning, Dipke was greeted by his family.

In a press briefing, he reiterated that the CJP's protests would continue until Pradhan resigns. He stated, ''The protest we staged (at Jantar Mantar) was successful, as 6,000 to 7,000 people attended it. This agitation will go nationwide. We will roll out a further action plan to take this agitation nationwide. We won't step back till Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.''

On Saturday, hundreds gathered at Jantar Mantar under the CJP banner, demanding Pradhan's resignation due to alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests. Dipke encouraged attendees not to be ''scared''.

During a subsequent press conference in the capital, CJP representatives announced they would wait a week for either the Centre to dismiss Pradhan or for him to resign voluntarily, after which they would initiate nationwide protests.

Dipke, who called for the protest, arrived in Delhi from the United States on Saturday morning, carrying a copy of B R Ambedkar's autobiography. After obtaining permission from the Delhi Police, he made his way to Jantar Mantar.

Protesters, equipped with posters and placards demanding Pradhan's resignation, donned cockroach masks that were distributed at the site. In addition to calling for the education minister's resignation, they also chanted slogans urging the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to cease ''Hindu-Muslim'' politics, while expressing their patriotism with ''Bharat Mata ki Jai'' chants.
