CJP Founder Claims Government's Aggressive Tactics Against Students

Abhijit Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach People's Party (CJP), asserted on Thursday that Union Home Minister Amit Shah instructed police and security agencies to take strict measures against students protesting the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi earlier this month. Speaking to reporters at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dipke expressed concerns over the state of democracy in India, alleging that central agencies are being utilized to dismantle political parties. He emphasized that safeguarding democracy is no longer solely the responsibility of the opposition.

Dipke raised doubts about the integrity of the judiciary, pointing out how agencies like the ED and CBI have been employed to fracture parties such as Shiv Sena and NCP. He stated that major institutions in the country should work to preserve democracy rather than allow a single person's authoritarianism to flourish. To counter this, he called for unity not just among the opposition but also among the general populace.

He further suggested that Amit Shah should resign. Dipke addressed claims that the CJP is receiving external funding or is being orchestrated from outside, questioning the competence of someone like Amit Shah if that were true. He asserted that the order for police action against students on July 20 must have originated from Shah himself.

Leading the protests at Jantar Mantar for over a month regarding irregularities in the NEET (UG) exam, Dipke also criticized the appointment of Prahlad Joshi as interim education minister, labeling the BJP leader as 'strange.' He expressed his support for the farmers' movement against the government, stating that the Delhi police had brought trucks filled with stones to the protest site. However, he urged police forces across India to disregard BJP orders and act in accordance with the Constitution.
