CJP Calls for Immediate Action Following Assault Incident

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has urgently called for the arrest of individuals involved in the alleged attack that resulted in the death of Janab Mafik, the father of CJP volunteer Shaik Abdul Hafeez, in West Bengal.

Shaik Abdul Hafeez, aged 25, reportedly faced violence after he assessed a government school as part of the CJP's "School Thik Karo" initiative.

Mafik succumbed to severe head injuries on Saturday, which he sustained during the alleged attack at their home, as stated by the CJP.

The incident occurred in the Karisunda region of Bankura district after Hafeez participated in the nationwide "School Thik Karo" Abhiyan on August 13, aimed at evaluating the school's infrastructure.

According to the CJP, armed individuals, purportedly local BJP members, forcibly entered Hafeez's home later that evening.

In a video recorded from the hospital, Hafeez claimed that a school teacher had tipped off the political workers about his inspection, leading to the attack.

The attackers allegedly demanded that Hafeez create a video retracting his statements about the school's condition, claiming he was influenced by external factors.

When he refused, they reportedly assaulted his family violently.

Hafeez suffered a serious neck injury, while his father sustained critical blunt-force trauma to the head, as per the CJP's statement.

After the attack, Hafeez documented his injuries in a hospital video and later fled to Kolkata due to ongoing safety fears.

His father passed away from his injuries on August 15.

CJP founder and national convener Abhijeet Dipke stated, "We will not be silenced or intimidated. We will continue to advocate for better schools. CJP stands firmly with Abdul and his family. We demand the immediate arrest of those responsible for his father's death. Our team will visit West Bengal to ensure justice for Abdul and his family."

Dipke initiated the "School Thik Karo" campaign to draw attention to the state of government schools and advocate for improvements in educational infrastructure.

The campaign encourages citizens to visit government schools, evaluate their conditions, and highlight deficiencies.

In response to the incident, CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das expressed deep concern for Abdul, stating, "His father has died at the hands of goons allegedly affiliated with the BJP. What was his crime? Planning a social audit of his local government school. Abdul, the entire CJP family stands with you. We will not rest until justice is served! @WBPolice, act immediately."

The CJP also claimed that no medico-legal case was filed and no FIR was registered after the initial assault.

They are demanding a thorough investigation into the violence, the circumstances surrounding Mafik's death, and the apparent lack of legal action.

The organization is urging the Indas police station to take immediate steps to apprehend those responsible for the attack and ensure the safety of Hafeez and his family.

A delegation from the CJP National Working Committee, led by co-convener Ashutosh Ranka, plans to visit West Bengal to support Hafeez and his family while demanding justice and accountability.
