CJP Appeals to Activist Sonam Wangchuk to End Hunger Strike

The Cockroach People's Party (CJP) has made a heartfelt appeal to activist Sonam Wangchuk, requesting him to conclude his hunger strike. Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for 25 days and is currently hospitalized at Medanta. In their appeal, CJP acknowledged his sacrifices, stating that his dedication has inspired an entire generation. They respectfully urged him to end his fast and take care of his health, assuring him that the fight for justice in examinations will continue with even greater vigor until their demands are met.

 

They emphasized their commitment to advancing this movement. Abhijit Dipke, the founder of CJP, also urged Wangchuk to end his fast. Previously, Wangchuk had indicated that he would conclude his hunger strike if MPs and political leaders assured him that the issue of accountability in the education sector would be raised during the Parliament's monsoon session. However, following police action against protesters during the CJP's 'March to Parliament', the activist declared that he would continue his hunger strike until such assurances were provided.

 

Sources reported on Tuesday that a delegation of opposition MPs plans to visit Sonam Wangchuk at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. They aim to persuade him to end his 25-day hunger strike and assure him that issues related to alleged irregularities in competitive exams and accountability in the education sector will be raised in Parliament. According to sources, the delegation will encourage the activist to conclude his indefinite hunger strike, promising that the opposition will address these matters within the parliamentary framework.
