New Delhi: On Christmas Day, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared heartfelt greetings with the nation, emphasizing the festival's core messages of love, compassion, peace, and unity.

President Murmu expressed her wishes on social media platform X, stating, "MERRY CHRISTMAS. On this special day, I extend my warmest greetings to all citizens, particularly to our Christian brothers and sisters."

She highlighted that Christmas, a time of joy and celebration, embodies the spirit of love and compassion, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by Lord Jesus Christ for humanity's benefit. The President encouraged citizens to embrace the values of peace, harmony, equality, and service.

Furthermore, she called upon everyone to commit to the teachings of Jesus Christ and strive to create a society rooted in kindness and mutual respect.

Prime Minister Modi also took to X to share his Christmas wishes, saying, "Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas filled with peace, compassion, and hope. May the teachings of Jesus Christ enhance harmony in our society."
