In a significant development, attorney Daniel Kaiser has officially withdrawn from representing Chirayu Rana, a former banker at JPMorgan Chase, in a notable lawsuit. This decision was made just hours before a scheduled court appearance, as indicated by court documents filed on Tuesday. The notice reveals that Rana currently lacks legal representation and intends to proceed on his own, a situation referred to as appearing "pro se," unless he secures another attorney.

Rana initially initiated legal action on April 27 under the alias "John Doe," claiming that Lorna Hajdini had subjected him to sexual harassment and assault over several months. He also accused his colleagues at the prominent bank of racial discrimination. The lawsuit's explicit and provocative details, including alleged statements made by Hajdini, gained widespread attention on social media platforms. A spokesperson for JPMorgan stated that the bank does not plan to settle the case at this moment, despite earlier discussions regarding a potential $1 million settlement with Rana, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Kaiser had previously defended Rana's claims in public forums and criticized the media's portrayal of the case. Notably, he has also represented several individuals who accused the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including Jennifer Araoz. Rana's allegations against Hajdini have been met with her denial, and she has countered with a defamation lawsuit against him.
