Chirag Paswan's Stance on Language Diversity

In response to the ongoing Hindi language controversy in Maharashtra, Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed his support for all languages. He emphasized the beauty of Indian languages, noting that different languages are spoken across various states, with dialects changing every few kilometers. Paswan views languages as friends that have flourished together. Paswan further remarked that the Indian Constitution allows citizens to reside anywhere in the country and speak any language. He called for mutual respect among languages, urging that respect for one’s language should be reciprocated. Commenting on the reunion of Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray after years, he suggested that their collaboration is driven by self-interest rather than a genuine commitment to language. He noted that both brothers realized that their separation diminished their influence and could lead to their political demise.

The young leader expressed skepticism about whether the Thackerays have truly resolved their differences, believing their reunion is merely a strategic move for political gain. He doubted that their political rifts could be mended so quickly. Uddhav Thackeray recently stated that he and his cousin Raj have come together to unite. This marks a significant moment as they shared a political platform for the first time in nearly two decades.
