The much-anticipated Chirag Memorial Football Tournament has officially commenced in Gram Panchayat Matour, Gaggal (Kangra). This annual event, organized by Vipin Kumar in honor of his late son Chirag, has evolved into a celebration of community unity and youth involvement.


The tournament was inaugurated by Sanjeev Kumar (Kaka), Deputy Pradhan of Matour Panchayat, who performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and engaged with the players. During his speech, he commended Vipin Kumar’s efforts, describing it as a commendable way to honor his son's legacy through sports. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in steering youth away from substance abuse while promoting discipline and sportsmanship.
