Child Assaulted by Neighbors Over Ball Retrieval Incident in Gwalior
Incident Overview
A troubling incident has emerged from Gwalior involving an eighth-grade student who was reportedly assaulted by neighbors. The child stated that he went to retrieve a ball that had landed on the neighbor's roof, only to be caught and beaten.
According to reports, the child was first made to perform a humiliating act before being struck with a belt. Upon returning home in tears, he recounted the ordeal to his family. The boy explained that while playing with friends, his ball accidentally went onto the neighbor's roof, and when he went to get it, he was apprehended and attacked.
A formal complaint has been lodged regarding this incident. The family of the child claims that the beating resulted in serious injuries and has adversely affected his mental well-being. The victim attends a government school and was reportedly playing cricket after returning from school.
While playing, the ball went onto the neighbor's roof. He called out to the neighbors for help, but no one responded. Subsequently, he decided to go up to the roof himself to retrieve the ball, where he was caught and beaten, first on the roof and then taken into a room for further punishment.
When the child returned home crying, he informed his family about the entire incident. Following this revelation, his family filed a complaint against the neighbors.
On the other hand, the neighbors claim that they have been experiencing thefts of women's undergarments from their home recently, which led them to keep a watch on the roof. They allege that they saw the children touching the garments, which they say justified their actions.
