Dharamshala, June 27: Puneet Malli, a Congress leader and Director of the State Food and Supplies Corporation, hailed Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s recent overnight visit to the remote area of Bada Bhangal as a testament to compassionate and inclusive governance.

Malli noted that this marks the first time since India gained independence that a Chief Minister has opted to spend the night in Bada Bhangal, not just as part of an official agenda but as a demonstration of a governance model that prioritizes reaching even the most isolated communities. He stated, “The Chief Minister has conveyed a powerful message: no area is too remote for government attention, and every citizen's voice matters.”

He highlighted various initiatives launched under Sukhu’s administration, including the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana aimed at empowering women, special relief measures for families affected by disasters, and enhanced health and education services in rural locales. Malli emphasized that the government’s focus on decisions that benefit employees and youth showcases its dedication to the common populace.

Malli further remarked that the Chief Minister’s engagement in a challenging terrain like Bada Bhangal illustrates that the government is not merely about policy formulation but is genuinely connecting with communities that have historically been marginalized in terms of development.
