Subhash Mahajan, the Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, emphasized the positive impact of the Chief Minister Sahara Yojana. This initiative aims to deliver social security and financial support to individuals affected by specific diseases. In addition to monetary assistance, beneficiaries receive essential guidance to help them navigate financial difficulties during their health crises.

Mahajan reported that the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched an online platform to enhance transparency in the scheme's execution. Currently, the data of 4,050 active beneficiaries has been successfully migrated to this new digital system, with Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification completed. Financial aid for the period from April to June 2026 is now being distributed.

The Deputy Commissioner also mentioned that new eligible applicants can conveniently apply online from their homes via the E-Kalyan Portal by selecting the Chief Minister Sahara Yojana option.

He encouraged all eligible individuals to gather information about the scheme and submit their applications promptly. Local governance bodies, health institutions, and relevant departments have been tasked with raising awareness to ensure that no deserving individual misses out on these benefits.
