A Traditional Ceremony for Mother Ganga

As he marks four successful years as the Chief Servant of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a traditional worship ceremony for Mother Ganga at Brahmakund, located at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. His prayers were focused on the prosperity, peace, and advancement of the state, as well as fulfilling the desires of all pilgrims visiting Haridwar.


Emphasizing the Importance of Rivers

During the River Festival event, the Chief Minister highlighted that rivers are more than mere water bodies; they have been integral to social, economic, and spiritual life throughout history. He stressed the necessity of conserving and revitalizing rivers to address pressing global issues such as climate change.


A Call to Action for Citizens

Dhami urged citizens to treat rivers with reverence, akin to a mother, and to actively participate in keeping them clean and unpolluted. He, along with the attendees, took a pledge to maintain the purity of rivers.

The Chief Minister received a warm reception from Nitin Gautam, President of Shri Ganga Sabha, along with other officials including Sabhapati Krishan Kumar Sharma and Reception Minister Siddharth Chakrapani. The worship ritual was led by Acharya Amit Shastri.
