Chief Justice Urges Young Lawyers to Embrace Technology for Effective Justice
Emphasizing Continuous Learning for Lawyers
On Friday, Chief Justice (CJI) Suryakant highlighted the necessity for lawyers, particularly those at the beginning of their careers, to stay updated in response to the evolving nature of crime and emerging global challenges.
Justice Suryakant pointed out that equipping lawyers with e-libraries, digital tools, and modern technology would not only enhance their efficiency but also make the justice delivery system more effective. He made these remarks while addressing judicial officials and lawyers at a felicitation event organized by the Hisar Bar Association in the local judicial complex.
Having received his early education in the village of Petwada in Hisar district, Justice Kanta also practiced law there. He expressed, 'Although my time in Hisar was not extensive, the bond I share with you is everlasting. I can openly acknowledge that the love, affection, and guidance I received from the Hisar Bar have been among my greatest achievements in life.'
Justice Suryakant further stated, 'The rate and nature of crimes are changing rapidly today. Cybercrime, digital arrest scams, online fraud, and technology-based offenses are on the rise. To effectively argue such cases, lawyers must develop an understanding of technology and the ability to analyze digital evidence.'
