Meeting Between Chhattisgarh CM and PM Modi

On August 1, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Dev Sai, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House in New Delhi. During this meeting, CM Sai extended an invitation to PM Modi to be the chief guest at the upcoming Amrit Silver Jubilee Festival, commemorating the 25th anniversary of Chhattisgarh's formation. This significant event is scheduled to take place on November 1, 2025, in Raipur. Highlighting the historical importance of the silver jubilee celebrations, CM Sai emphasized that the Prime Minister's presence would greatly enhance the prestige of the event. The state is celebrating this year by focusing on its development and transformation journey over the past twenty-five years.

Policy Framework and Development Initiatives

CM Sai also briefed PM Modi about the state's policy framework, titled 'Anjor Vision @2047', which aims to align Chhattisgarh's development goals with the national mission of 'Developed India'. This policy outlines sector-specific reforms in health, education, industry, innovation, and the environment, designed to ensure inclusive and sustainable development. Drawing inspiration from the Central Government's Jan Vishwas Act 2023, CM Sai mentioned that the state has passed the Jan Vishwas Bill 2025 to promote transparency and make justice more accessible to citizens. This initiative reflects Chhattisgarh's commitment to governance reforms.

Urban Development and Investment Proposals

Furthermore, CM Sai informed PM Modi about the establishment of the State Capital Region Development Authority to oversee the development of Naya Raipur as a modern urban center. With the Smart City initiative and infrastructure upgrades, the capital region is being transformed into a key administrative and economic hub. He noted that from November 2024 to July 2025, the state received investment proposals worth ₹6.65 lakh crore from 84 companies. Key achievements include the launch of India's first semiconductor unit and the construction of an AI data center in Naya Raipur. The new industrial policy for 2024-30 has introduced a single-window system to simplify business processes and provide special incentives for high-employment industries.
