Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has officially announced his retirement from all formats of the game. His final appearance for the national team was during the World Test Championship 2023 final against Australia at The Oval.

Pujara shared the news of his retirement through a heartfelt message on social media, expressing his deep appreciation for the honor of wearing the Indian jersey. He reflected on his journey and the pride he felt representing his country.

In his post, he stated, "Wearing the Indian jersey, singing the anthem, and giving my all on the field is something I can hardly describe. However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. With a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you for your unwavering support and love," he wrote on X.

Throughout his illustrious career, Pujara played 103 Test matches and 5 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for India. He amassed a remarkable total of 7,195 runs in Test cricket, which includes 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries.
