Mogra Inaugurates New Road and Addresses Student Protests

Chaudhary Narendra Nishu Mogra, who serves as the Chairman of the District APMC and leads the State Congress OBC Department, recently laid the foundation for a new exit road at the Pasu Vegetable Market. This ₹31 lakh project aims to improve traffic conditions and enhance farmers' access to the market.

During the ceremony, attended by former Dharamshala Mayor Devendra Jaggi, Mogra pointed out that the Pasu Vegetable Market has been a significant source of revenue since its inception, allowing farmers to secure fair prices without extensive travel. Villages such as Chaitdu, Dhagwar, and Manedh, which are known for their vegetable production, will benefit from reduced travel time and costs by selling their produce at the Pasu mandi. He acknowledged that the lack of an exit gate had posed challenges, which the new road will address.

On a national level, Mogra expressed strong disapproval of the recent police lathi charge and tear gas deployment against students at Jantar Mantar, labeling it a "shameful and regrettable event." He cautioned that the BJP would face repercussions for stifling the voices of the youth, asserting that democracy should prioritize listening to the demands of young people rather than silencing them through force.

Mogra also remarked that while the BJP government rose to power under the banner of Lord Ram, it is now facing public backlash due to allegations of a donation scam. He reiterated that the Congress government, led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Himachal Pradesh, is committed to creating job opportunities for the youth.
