Disruption at Public Event in Patna

Patna - A public event in Bihar's capital turned chaotic when Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was delivering a speech. The occasion marked the 139th birth anniversary of Dr. Sri Krishna Singh, the first Chief Minister of Bihar. As Kharge criticized the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a man in the audience began shouting, 'PM Modi is not going anywhere.' This interruption prompted a furious response from Kharge, who retorted, 'Even Modi's father will go... his father will go.'

Supporters React to Disruption

Following Kharge's remarks, Congress supporters and workers became enraged. They pushed the protesting individual out of the hall while chanting slogans like 'Vote thief, step down.' Despite the escalating situation, Kharge urged his supporters to maintain calm. Prior to this incident, he had been vocally attacking Prime Minister Modi and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing the Election Commission of acting at the behest of the ruling party.

Critique of RSS and BJP Ideology

During his address, Kharge also harshly criticized the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He stated that true peace cannot be achieved as long as the RSS ideology persists. Referring to an incident in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, he expressed concern over the continued existence of caste discrimination even after eight decades of independence. Additionally, he targeted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that leaders who once advocated for socialism have now allied with the BJP and RSS.
