Disruption During the Celebration Event

A celebration event at the BJP office in Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh, turned chaotic on Wednesday when a woman stormed in, accusing a party official of committing fraud worth lakhs. The incident unfolded as the event was just getting underway, aimed at congratulating newly appointed councilors and party officials.


Allegations of ₹4.5 Lakh Fraud

The woman claimed that she had deposited approximately ₹4.5 lakh under the guise of an LIC investment, but the accused had failed to deposit the money and instead misappropriated it. Frustrated after a prolonged wait for her funds, she arrived at the event with her son, demanding immediate payment. As party workers attempted to defuse the situation, the argument escalated into a violent confrontation, involving physical altercations and even the use of footwear.


Police Intervention

Upon receiving reports of the disturbance, law enforcement arrived at the scene to restore order. The woman and others involved in the dispute were escorted out of the BJP office, allowing the event to resume after nearly an hour of disruption.
