Chaos Erupts as Two Grooms Arrive for One Bride in Amroha

Amroha: A banquet hall located on Kailasha Bypass in the Amroha district became the scene of chaos when two separate wedding parties arrived to claim the same bride.

What Happened
Last year, the bride's father arranged her marriage to a young man from Muradabad. Both families agreed to the engagement, and the wedding date was set for April 12. However, a dispute arose between the families shortly before the wedding, leading the bride's father to call off the engagement. Following a village council's decision, the bride's marriage was rescheduled with a young man from Sambhal, while keeping the same date and venue. Meanwhile, the Muradabad family refused to back out of the wedding.

On April 12, the first wedding party from Sambhal arrived at the banquet hall, and preparations for the reception began. Suddenly, the second wedding party from Muradabad also showed up. Witnesses were stunned to see two grooms for one bride, and a commotion ensued. Both parties confronted each other, escalating the situation to the police. Upon receiving the alert, law enforcement arrived to manage the situation.

Police Statement
According to CO Abhishek Kumar Yadav, the police consulted the bride, who expressed her desire to marry the young man from Sambhal with her family's consent. Subsequently, the marriage was conducted in the presence of police, while the groom from Muradabad was taken to the police station. After several hours, once the bride's farewell was completed, the Muradabad groom was released. The police were relieved as the dispute was resolved and normalcy was restored.
