MLA Neeraj Nayyar has emphasized that his primary goal is the comprehensive development of the Chamba Assembly constituency. He highlighted that numerous projects worth several crores are currently underway to enhance infrastructure and improve civic amenities. The main areas of focus include the development of parking facilities, road enhancements, sewerage systems, sports infrastructure, and air connectivity.

As the chief guest at a foundation stone laying ceremony at Children’s Park (Chowgan No. 4), Nayyar inaugurated and performed bhoomi pujan for development initiatives totaling ₹65 lakh. These projects encompass the reconstruction and beautification of Children’s Park, enhancements at Chowgan No. 3, and repairs to footpaths at Chowgan Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5. Additionally, he conducted bhoomi pujan for beautification efforts at the park within the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple complex.

The MLA also provided updates on ongoing projects, revealing that ₹25 crore has been allocated for the Bhagot parking facility, with ₹10 crore already disbursed. Construction is in progress for a multi-storey parking structure at the old bus stand, which is set to expand from four to six floors to address the city's parking challenges effectively.

Moreover, ₹1.25 crore has been designated for the upgrade of the Pakkatala-Balu link road to enhance access to the new campus of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College at Sarol, with ₹50 lakh released as the initial installment.

Nayyar also announced that most construction at the Chamba Heliport is nearing completion, with heli-taxi services expected to start soon. He mentioned ongoing efforts to relocate National Highway-154A along the Ravi river towards Bharmaur to alleviate traffic congestion in Chamba town and the temple vicinity.

During the ceremony, Nayyar distributed ten street lights to each ward of the Chamba Municipal Council from his MLA fund. The gathering included Municipal Council President Bhuvneshwari Gulati, Councillor Tanvi Goswami, and Executive Officer Rakhi Kaushal, who welcomed attendees.
