Exciting Auditions for the International Minjar Fair

The second day of auditions for the International Minjar Fair 2026 saw an impressive turnout of 175 artists from the Chamba subdivision, all eager to showcase their talents for the upcoming cultural festivities. The auditions featured a variety of performances, including solo acts, group displays, and theatrical productions.


According to District Language Officer Tukesh Sharma, two committees have been established to evaluate and select the artists for the fair's cultural showcases. He noted that on the previous day, 148 artists had auditioned, bringing the cumulative total to 323 participants thus far.


The auditions are taking place at the PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Chamba. Sharma also shared the schedule for the remaining auditions:



  • July 16: Artists from Bhatiyat and Dalhousie subdivisions

  • July 17: Artists from Salooni and Tissa subdivisions

  • July 18: Artists from Bharmour and Pangi subdivisions

  • July 20: Artists from outside Chamba district


The selection process is designed to ensure a rich and diverse cultural representation at the esteemed International Minjar Fair, which is one of the most cherished festivals in Himachal Pradesh.
