Today, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal inaugurated a unique educational tour aimed at children living in care facilities throughout Chamba district. This initiative, part of the Chief Minister’s Sukha Aashray Yojana, is scheduled to take place from March 31 to April 7, 2026, involving 35 children along with 5 accompanying officials.


Repswal elaborated that the journey will commence in Chamba, proceeding to New Delhi and then to Daman, where participants will have the chance to explore various historical, educational, and tourist attractions. The goal of this initiative is to enrich the children's knowledge and provide them with new experiences that contribute to their overall growth.


As per the planned itinerary, the group will leave Chamba for New Delhi today, with accommodations arranged at Himachal Bhawan on April 1. On April 2, they will continue their journey to Daman via Surat. While in Daman, the children will visit local industrial sites and enjoy attractions such as Namo Path, Devka Beach, Dudhani Lake, Lion Safari, Nakshatra Van Garden, and Vandhara Garden. The program also includes engaging activities like water sports, night markets, and other recreational events.


Following their time in Daman, the group will head back to New Delhi on April 5. In the capital, they will visit significant landmarks including Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, and Chandni Chowk before returning to Himachal Bhawan on April 6. The children from Pangi will have separate travel arrangements, taking a route through Manali.


Repswal emphasized that the tour aims to expose children to India's rich cultural diversity, industrial advancements, and historical significance. He encouraged the participants to fully embrace this opportunity, uphold discipline, and gather meaningful experiences throughout their travels.
