CHAMBA: Following a successful launch in Dharamshala, the Shining Star Awards 3.0 has made a remarkable impact in Chamba as well. The historic Darbar Hall at Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College was filled with attendees on June 8, 2025, for this prestigious event.
Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania attended as the chief guest, recognizing outstanding students from the district.
This year's Chamba event, which saw significant participation in 2024, promises to be even more impressive and motivational. Scheduled from 10 am to 1 pm, it is anticipated to attract numerous students, parents, and educational stakeholders from the area.
Eligibility Criteria for Awards
For this year's awards in Chamba, students achieving 80% or higher in their Class 10 and Class 12 board exams across all boards and streams will be recognized. The awards aim to honor students not only for their academic success but also for their perseverance and dedication in a competitive landscape.
The inaugural event in Dharamshala attracted over 1,000 participants, including students, parents, educators, and dignitaries. Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was the chief guest, honoring approximately 650 students who attained 85% or more in their board exams.
During his address, Agnihotri described the event as a celebration of ambition, discipline, and vision, urging students to strive for their highest aspirations and contribute to the state's development.
A Broader Mission Beyond Awards
Initiated by a leading digital news platform in Himachal Pradesh, the Shining Star Awards 3.0 represents more than just an awards ceremony; it is a movement aimed at uplifting and recognizing young achievers.
Supported by various educational institutions and organizations, the awards series continues to expand its influence and reach.
The Shining Star Awards 3.0 builds on the success of its previous editions, celebrating the hard work and academic achievements of Himachali youth while promoting well-being beyond academics.
Sunil Chadha, Executive Editor, highlighted the initiative's broader goal: “We are here not only to celebrate merit but to help shape a future with these bright minds. This recognition is merely the beginning.”
Political Editor S Gopal Puri added, “Every student’s success is supported by their parents, and today’s event is also a tribute to them.”
The platform also emphasizes its commitment to students' mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Abhinav Sharma, Head of Human Resources, stated, “The announcement of board results is an ideal time to connect with students, understand their aspirations, and provide necessary support.”
With Dharamshala setting a high standard, the Shining Star Awards 3.0 will soon extend its recognition efforts to other districts in Himachal Pradesh.
