Minister Scindia's Visit to Flood-Hit Regions

Guna//Shivpuri/Ashoknagar/Gwalior. On August 4, Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia departed from Delhi to Bhopal, where he will jointly tour the flood-affected areas of Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar alongside Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Scindia has been closely monitoring the situation in the region to enhance coordination and expedite relief efforts. During this visit, he will observe the conditions in these districts, review the ongoing relief and rescue operations, and engage with the affected citizens.


Symbol of Commitment from Central and State Governments

This visit symbolizes the joint commitment of both the central and state governments to provide every possible assistance to the citizens. Both the Chief Minister and the Central Minister will gather information from the local administration regarding the ground realities and issue necessary directives.


Instructions for Accelerating Relief Efforts

Due to heavy rainfall, the districts of Guna, Ashoknagar, and Shivpuri, which fall under the Guna parliamentary constituency, have been severely affected. In light of the seriousness of the situation, Minister Scindia had previously instructed the regional administration to ensure that there is no delay or negligence in the relief efforts. He directed officials to guarantee the immediate availability of safety, food, clean drinking water, and medical facilities. Scindia also emphasized the urgent use of helicopters, boats, or any other necessary resources to ensure that no affected citizen is left without relief.


Call for Active Participation from Local Representatives

Given the severity of the floods, Scindia coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. He has also maintained continuous communication with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to ensure effective coordination.
