Celina Jaitly has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against her husband, Peter Haag, at the Versova police station in Mumbai, prompting the initiation of criminal proceedings. The FIR, filed by the Mumbai police on Friday, accuses Haag of cruelty, physical assault, criminal intimidation, and persistent harassment. Previously, Peter Haag faced action under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. According to reports, the Mumbai police have also issued a lookout notice for Haag, as he allegedly failed to cooperate with the investigation.

Additionally, last year, Celina Jaitly filed a domestic violence case against Haag in the Andheri court in Mumbai, seeking interim and unilateral relief under section 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2025.

Celina is demanding ₹50 crore in damages, along with additional compensation for lost income opportunities and property-related claims. The court has reviewed the case and issued a legal notice to Haag in December of the previous year. In her complaint, Jaitly alleged that Haag systematically restricted her work opportunities and prevented her from working under various pretexts.

This situation has adversely affected her financial independence and self-esteem. She also mentioned that during a particularly vulnerable emotional period, following the death of her newborn and the loss of both her parents in quick succession, Haag pressured her to transfer ownership of their home in Mumbai to his name.

According to the actress's allegations, the circumstances deteriorated to the point where she had to leave her home in Austria and return to India without her children. Since then, she claims that she has been denied proper access to her children.
