A Theatrical Tribute to a National Icon

On Tuesday, prominent leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including National President J.P. Nadda, attended a theatrical performance dedicated to the life of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Janata Party. The event took place at the Kamani Auditorium, where Nadda was joined by Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, among others, to witness the play titled 'Rashtravad Ka Aadi Purush,' performed by students from the National School of Drama and Shri Ram Centre.




Also present were Union Minister Harsh Malhotra, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, and several Delhi ministers, including Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ashish Sood, along with BJP MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri and other senior party officials. Sachdeva highlighted that the production involved a dedicated team of 75 members, including 58 artists, a lead director, and 16 technical staff, who played crucial roles in bringing the performance to life.




Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that Mukherjee's nationalist ideology and his ultimate sacrifice for integrating Kashmir into India would continue to inspire generations. She stated that the play 'Rashtravad Ka Aadi Purush' marks a unique initiative to portray Mukherjee's life and thoughts, aiming to spread his nationalist vision throughout Delhi. Gupta affirmed that Mukherjee's ideals and sacrifices would motivate Indians for centuries to come.




Earlier, Sachdeva welcomed BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda with a bouquet and a commemorative plaque. Nadda praised the Delhi BJP for effectively presenting Mukherjee's nationalist thoughts through the medium of theater. The state officials also honored Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on stage.
