Community Celebrations Led by Assembly Speaker

In celebration of Shri Parshuram Jayanti, the Brahmin Welfare Council Bhatiyat hosted significant events at Garnota and Hunera, led by Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.


During the event at Garnota, the Speaker laid the foundation for a community hall named Parshuram Bhavan, which will be built at an investment of ₹12 lakh. He commenced the festivities with prayers and floral offerings to Lord Parshuram.


Pathania conveyed his best wishes to the residents of Himachal Pradesh, emphasizing the importance of Lord Parshuram’s teachings, which focus on eliminating injustice and promoting dharma. He encouraged attendees to embrace moral values, social unity, and ethical living in their everyday lives.


Later, he unveiled a 12-foot statue of Lord Parshuram in Hunera village, located in Gram Panchayat Avanh. He announced plans to develop the area into Parshuram Ghat and Parshuram Vatika, aimed at enhancing religious tourism. For this initiative, he committed ₹5 lakh and promised to assist in constructing a protective shelter for the statue.


Highlighting Himachal’s rich cultural legacy, Pathania referred to the state as Dev Bhoomi (Land of Gods) and Veer Bhoomi (Land of the Brave), acknowledging the contributions of its soldiers to national unity. He reaffirmed his dedication to the comprehensive development of the Bhatiyat constituency, noting advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, and local initiatives over the last three years.


The Speaker also announced financial support, including ₹1 lakh for the Brahmin Welfare Council Garnota, ₹51,000 for Hunera, and ₹21,000 for cultural performers. He took the opportunity to address public concerns during the event.


The celebrations were enriched by devotional performances from the well-known Himachali bhajan artist Pammi Thakur, adding a spiritual touch to the occasion.
