Additionally, Piyush's father held a ministerial position during the tenure of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
After completing his early education, Goyal pursued a degree in law and became a Chartered Accountant. He began his career working at the State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda before venturing into politics, following in his father's footsteps.
Political Career
Over his extensive 35-year political career, Piyush Goyal has served as a member of the BJP's national executive and held several significant positions, including that of national treasurer. He was first elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2010. When the BJP came to power in 2014 under PM Modi's leadership, Goyal was appointed as a Minister of State with independent charge.
