Surendranagar. The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at the office of the All India SC/ST Railway Employees Association in Surendranagar. Railway staff, association officials, and their families gathered to honor the sacrifices of freedom fighters, reaffirming their commitment to the unity, integrity, and development of the nation.
The event commenced in the morning with the hoisting of the national flag by Mr. Namonarayana Meena, the Divisional President of the Rajkot division, in the association's office premises. Following the flag hoisting, everyone present sang the national anthem together, filling the area with a spirit of patriotism. Subsequently, railway employees took an oath to remain dedicated to the progress and service of the nation and Indian Railways.
Among those present were association patron Mr. Ramnik Bhai Rathod, branch president Mr. Mahesh Chand Meena, branch secretary Mr. Nilesh Solanki, branch secretary Mr. Rajpal Meena, and branch treasurer Mr. Jitendra Maru, along with numerous railway employees. The presence of children and family members added an emotional and joyful touch to the event.
During the ceremony, speakers reminisced about the unique sacrifices made by freedom fighters, emphasizing that our freedom was not easily attained. They stated that it is the duty of every citizen to uphold this freedom, which has been nurtured by the blood of countless martyrs.
