Celebrating Hindi: A Fortnight of Cultural Events and Awareness at Rose Public School

The Hindi Fortnight, which commenced on September 14, 2026, at Rose Public School, Sulyali, wrapped up on September 28 with remarkable enthusiasm. This event was orchestrated under the leadership of Principal Sanjay Sharma Souguni and Vice-Principal Mrs. Babita Souguni. The primary objective was to foster respect, pride, and awareness among students regarding their mother tongue and national language, Hindi.
Engaging Activities Throughout the Fortnight A range of cultural and creative events took place during this period:
- Cultural Presentations: The Hindi Department showcased an inspiring play emphasizing the significance of the Hindi language, complemented by melodious songs from the Music Department.
- Awareness Rally: Students from Classes 9 to 12 took part in a large rally that started from the school, traversed the local market, and returned. They carried posters and chanted slogans to raise public awareness about the importance of respecting Hindi.
- Plantation Campaign: Under the theme “One Tree in the Name of Mother Tongue,” saplings were planted by the Principal and Vice-Principal within the school grounds.
Competition Highlights Numerous competitions were held during the fortnight, with notable achievements including:
- Hindi Handwriting/Story Writing (Classes 4 & 5): Winners included Srishti, Divyansh, Mannat, Kavya, Anaya, and others from various sections.
- Slogan Writing & Drawing (Classes 6 & 7): Top positions were secured by Taksika Pathania, Arushi Chauhan, Vihaan, Mayank, and others.
- Poster Making (Class 8): Winners included Khank Dhiman, Geetika, Hargun, Kanika Sharma, Kartik Kumar, and Manvi.
Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution On the final day, all winners and participants were celebrated during the closing ceremony. The event's success was a collective effort from the entire teaching staff and the Hindi Department.
